How does it work?
When the tanning solution passes through the Magic Tan booth's nozzles, the particles of solution cover the skin's surface evenly. The tan is a result of DHA sugars that react naturally with the protein in the skin to create a golden brown color. The solution is a blend of self-tanner, bronzer, aloe, and moisturizer - all designed to give you the perfect tan.
How long does the tan last?
The length of the tan will depend on how many times you've mist tanned and how frequently you shower after the tan. Mist tanning more frequently will prolong the length of the tan, while showering and/or swimming more often will reduce the length of the tan. Most people report that their tan lasts about a week.
How frequently should I tan?
We recommend tanning as frequently as necessary to produce the desired tanning level. Some people tan weekly or every second week, while others choose to tan more frequently. While tanning twice in the same day will create a darker tan, we do not recommend back to back sessions.
Will it make my skin turn orange?
No. Our state-of-the-art mist tanning technology assures that all areas of the body get a uniform coating of the solution in the exact quantity required to produce a golden brown tan.
Will it get on my clothes?
We recommend buffing with a towel after tanning to remove any excess solution and to reduce the chances of the solution getting on your clothes. However, the solution may occasionally transfer to your clothing so we recommend that you wear dark, cotton clothes. Since the bronzer is completely water-soluble it will typically wash right out. In rare cases, dry cleaning may be necessary.
Does it have an odor?
Most people don't report a scent, while others report a starchy scent from the DHA sugars. Any scent is usually not noticeable to others.
Is it safe?
The key ingredient in mist tanning is DHA, which is essentially a sugar that has been used in sunless tanning creams, food, and cosmetics for decades. If an individual has ever had any adverse effects utilizing self-tanning products or moisturizers, they might experience similar effects with mist tanning.
What if I have light and/or sensitive skin?
Mist tanning was designed specifically for individuals who can't or don't want to tan conventionally. However, if an individual has adverse effects when using self-tanning products or moisturizers, they might experience similar effects with mist tanning.
